CHRISTOPHER BOOTS is excited to celebrate the public unveiling of a brand new surface treatment, Verdigris at Collective Design in New York and Local Design during Milan Design Week. There is a certain nostalgia associated with surfaces of patinated and sea weathered monuments. Their rough skins share a history, and represent a wiseness that can only be achieved through the endurance of time. An oxidisation process that naturally takes decades to achieve, is accelerated in the Christopher Boots workshop through the application of alchemical elements to solid brass, a foundation metal of most of the lighting collection. Verdigris finishing marks a deeper investigation into our past and possible futures through surface experimentation. Christopher Boots is excited to have celebrated the unveiling of Verdigris, at Collective Design, New York City, and during Salone Del Mobile, Milan. Verdigris introduces colour​ for the first time ​to the Christopher Boots surface treatments, while maintaining the hallmark qualities of the signature Christopher Boots rough-luxe aesthetic.
